When I visited NYC last year a ton of LinkNYC kiosks had appeared on almost any street corner. Delivering surprisingly fast and stable WiFi. It also has an integrated computer, keyboard and everything, meaning this is the primary connection to the internet for most homeless people.
Google is world famous for their moonshot ideology. And this one sort of defines the term. Calico aims at solving aging, making it possible for live longer, maybe forever?! For now they are trying to solve age-related cancer, Alzheimer’s and stuff like that, but still.
Formerly just called the self-driving car project within Google, it’s now Waymo. Their cars have now driven more than 3 million kilometers by themselves, but are still now commercially available. 2018 maybe?!
